I had been dreaming to go to Spain for a long time and was extremely excited to go to a city that wasn’t going to be super touristy. I stayed at a hostel once again called the Black Swan Hostel and it was very welcoming. The hostel was cleaned well and had breakfast in the morning. They also offered so many activities for guests to enjoy like cooking and dancing classes or tours. It was a perfect 15-minute walk from the center of town and walking along the canal was the best. We arrived around 7am and the sunrise was absolutely stunning. We were right near the Puente de Isabel II (a major bridge in Seville) and we were able to look over the Canal De Alfonso XIII- super serene. I took one of my favorite travel photos near this spot, see below.

I only had one day in Seville but it was one of the best days I had abroad. First stop was the Cathedral of Seville and it was gorgeous. I’ve visited many cathedrals during my travels but the architecture on the outside of this one was really different and eye-catching. Once you get to the cathedral, many of the sites to see are within a a 5 minute walking distance so it is a good place to start your tour. From there you can go to the La Giralda, which is a big bell tower right by the cathedral. If you’ve been watching my stories on Instagram, you know I LOVE bell towers, so naturally I waited for it to ring. Another cool site to check out is the Royal Alcazar. I, unfortunately, did not have enough time to actually go inside and explore this royal palace/garden but I really wanted to and if you have time do it!
Probably one of Seville’s biggest attractions is the Plaza de Espana which is a plaza in the Parque de MarĂa Luisa (which is a beautiful park to walk through, side note). It was such a lively place and was absolutely beautiful. There was a man-made river in the plaza, a few bridges and a spraying fountain. See some pictures below.

You could also visit the La Setas, which is the only modern architecture in the city that has a great view (see picture below). Also, if you have time visit the bull arena, really cool vibes there. After you see the sites, just walking around Seville with no destination is the way to go. I had so much fun just wondering the city and ending up on different streets. There is also some beautiful shopping to be done if you have the time. Also when in Spain, there are some dishes that you MUST eat such as paella, tortilla (which is a Spanish omelette) and CHURROS! WITH HOT CHOCOLATE! The food in Spain is absolutely to die for, honestly.

I wish I got to spend more time in Seville but the one day that I was there was amazing. Now, I’m trying to catch up on the last few trips I took while abroad because I’m actually back home now! I will share some deets about Prague, Nice and London. After, I want to write a recap of my time in Paris and just want I learned/want to share with you. Thank you for reading, I hope you’ll share my blog with your friends! As always, much love to you all.
