Just like everything else in Paris, Disneyland Paris was absolutely beautiful and magical. As a huge Disney lover myself, I knew I absolutely had to take a day when I had the chance to visit the park. The day was filled with rides, laughs and a whole lot of magic. Right off the bat, however, I’ll say that it definitely doesn’t compare to Walt Disney World in Florida but has its own unique charm that one should experience if they get the chance.
Disneyland Paris consists of two parks: Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland Park. Walt Disney Studios has a lot of movie based/Pixar rides, Toy Storyland, the famous Ratatouille area and is also the smaller of the two. The Ratatouille Ride and restaurant make going to that park worth it the most. Disneyland Park is where you will find Sleeping Beauty’s castle that is so beautiful and pink! If you get your tickets beforehand, which you should because it is cheaper when you buy in advance, you need to have them printed!! I’ve read online that you can go to the Resort and they can print it for you but try to print them yourself beforehand to save time. Also, tickets cannot be purchased online the same day— the night before is fine just don’t buy your tickets the morning of online! It also wouldn’t hurt to research what rides you really want to hit so you aren’t just wandering around the park all day. You may think a ride looks fun and then you get to the front after waiting for so long to find out it is not what you expected at all. Even though I went on a Wednesday in February I still found myself waiting between 30 to 60 minutes for rides. I can only imagine how busy the place gets during peak season.
So to get to Disneyland Paris from Paris, there is a train that goes directly there on the RER A line that cost 7.50 euros. You take the RER A toward Gare de Marne-la-Vallee Chessy and then get off at Marne-la-Vallee Chessy! First I hit Walt Disney Studios and headed straight for the Ratatouille ride because how could you not do that in Paris?? I have to say it was a super cool and fun time. It had about an hour wait but it was worth it and then right outside is a Ratatouille-themed restaurant with French food stalls that really amp up the Parisian experience. However, unlike Paris, the staff is very friendly and helpful plus everyone spoke English. Toy Storyland is also super cute and worth checking out. We didn’t spend much more time in Walt Disney Studios except to ride the Slinky Dog ride. We thought it might be like the one in Florida but it is actually a lot smaller and not worth the wait unless you have little ones which obviously we did not. Next stop, Disneyland Park.

Here was the show stopper, the beauty herself— the Sleeping Beauty Castle omg. First of all, it’s pink! So naturally, I loved it right away. Just as we got there, there was a performance right outside and even though it was in French, I still loved it. Some of my favorite rides that you absolutely need to hit are Hyperspace mountain, It’s a small world, Indiana Jones Temple of Peril and Pirates of the Carribean. These were classics and so so much fun!
For food, my brother and I didn’t actually sit down and eat anywhere but just went into one of those on the go food places and got simple chicken burger meals that were actually pretty good. I did notice there were a lot of snacks like popcorn, crepes and cotton candy for sale around but no dole whip or Mickey Mouse ice cream like in Florida. The food is expensive for sure so I would suggest to just pick a cheap option for lunch and then snack for rest of the day. I preferred eating quickly to then have more time for rides instead of taking over an hour to sit down and eat at a restaurant. The park closes at 7 during the Spring so you might end up having dinner outside the park itself. Souvenirs are as cute as you would expect and of course, I couldn’t leave without a pair of ears. I actually bought them as soon as I walked in because I wanted to wear them all day.
The day ended with a beautiful illuminations and fireworks show at the castle at 7pm. It was all about letting out your inner child and was so so beautiful. It was the perfect way to end the day. If you’re a Disney fan you’ll love the park and if you’re not, you’ll still have fun I promise. Check out some pictures below (didn’t take too many because I was really enjoying the day).
I just want to thank you guys for all the support and I hope you’re enjoying following me on this journey!! Coming up soon is Morocco for spring break and another weekend trip to Prague!! I’ve always desperately wanted to visit both and can’t wait to cross them off my bucket list. As usual, much love to you all!
