I’ve discovered that one of my favorite things to do in Paris is to go and get lost. Obviously, one doesn’t get completely lost now thanks to Google Maps but it is such a rush to just walk out of my apartment with a few friends with no destination in mind. The absolute BEST way to see Paris is on foot. While the cold is only now starting to wind down, we would bear it these last few weeks because every little corner of Paris is so beautiful and mesmerizing. The Parisians straight up always be chilling and I don’t know how they do it but I’m trying to replicate it. Cheers to you guys.

Definitely a lesson that I want to take back to New York with me is to make the most of the day and just enjoy some spontaneity— not having something planned, which is something that I always want to do. Some of the best days I’ve had during this time have been the ones where I had nothing planned when I woke up. When I say I love getting lost in Paris, I don’t just mean physically (although that has led to my camera roll being BLESSED) but I mean just being more emotionally open if that makes sense. The air here is fresh, the people are stuntin’ and the streets are buzzing. Like NYC, Paris also makes me feel alive. I love walking around Paris, taking a bunch of pictures and just people watching. I feel really blessed and I know I’ve said that a lot but I’ll continue to say it a bunch!!

Fontaine Saint Michel
Found my people
Latin Quarter

First picture above was taken in the Latin Quarter at the Fontaine Saint Michel which is such a popping area in Paris that I recommend you visit if you ever get the chance. Fun fact, the Latin Quarter originated not from Spanish speaking locals but for those who spoke Latin which obviously makes sense but I thought was really cool when I learned that. I also had such an amazing burger in the Latin Quarter at a restaurant called “La Fontaine Saint Michel”, which was right next to the fountain, and I didn’t even take a picture of it because it looked okay but then I took a bite and daaayyuuum. It had this black pepper sauce like no other, the fries were scrumptious and also the mocktails, pictured left, were so amazing. Also interesting, while french fries aren’t actually French, I’ve only had the most amazing french fries while I’ve been here!

Window shopping is also just amazing here. I can not tell you how many times my friends and I have just walked into different Chanels or Louis Vuittons just because the experience is so fun even when we aren’t buying anything. (But shoutout to the amazing experience I did have at the Louis Vuitton on the Champs-Élysées when I bought the cutest belt and the salesman was amazing). Paris your fashion is why I love you.

To end, my time in Paris has been very enriching. When first coming here I was like, “Oh I come from a big, busy, famous city how different can another big city be?” but I was definitely wrong. While yes, there are many similarities, the cultural differences make the difference. There is no place like NYC and it still remains my favorite city, I am definitely living it up Parisian style and will incorporate that style as a part of me. Just going to end with some more clicks and a sneak peek of the Eiffel Tower that I just randomly sometimes see when walking and I will soon visit it with more time in mind to do a shoot. Sometimes when getting lost it’s nice just to see all of Paris from different angles.
